Bulb Creative Studio has worked with the Settle-Carlisle Railway Development Company and CRP (SCRDC), its partners and stakeholders (Northern trains, Cross Country, Avanti West Coast, and the Community Rail Network) to produce a range of graphic design and illustration solutions to promote the world-renowned railway. Recent projects include:

Brand and Logo Design

A world-renowned railway deserves an iconic logo that reflects its history and heritage. Our logo design and branding services modernised the companies styling and created brand guidelines that kept the travel and tourisms visuals in-sync across all print, web and digital communications.

Print Artwork Design

Bulb Creative Studio worked with SCRDC on a series of creative design projects that promoted travel and tourism along the railway to regional, national, and international audiences.

Working in collaboration with Northern, the train operating company, Bulb Creative Studio designs the digital and printed bi-annual N7 timetable and line guide booklet for the Settle to Carlisle railway. We also work with The Bentham Line CRP to assist in creating promotions for the Leeds-Bentham-Lancaster and Morecambe rail line.

Alongside this we have created a range of brochures, leaflets, and promotional marketing tools that place the businesses products and services in front of its national and international audiences.

Website & Digital Content Creation

Bulb Creative Studio provided promotional content, graphic design, and copywriting for SCRDC’s website, email newsletter campaigns and social media platforms.

Wayfinding Signage Artwork, Graphic and Illustration Design

Working in partnership with the Settle-Carlisle Railway Development Company, Cross Country and Avanti West Coast, Bulb Creative Studio developed a series of illustrations and graphics for large-scale information panels and displays. The display panels are installed in both Leeds and Carlisle railway stations. More panels are also installed at stations found between Carlisle and Settle.

About the client

The Settle-Carlisle Railway Development Company works in partnership with the rail industry, local businesses, community groups, organisations and charities to promote travel and tourism and encourage socio-economic engagement along the world-renowned Leeds-Settle-Carlisle railway. The 73 mile long Settle to Carlisle rail line cuts through some of the countries most spectacular scenery; travelling from the Westmorland fells and Lake District in Cumbria, over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct, and cutting through the valleys of the three peaks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. From Settle, the railway line continues on to Skipton and through West Yorkshire before terminating in Leeds.
